The first weeks member is Cali Lewis. Cali is the host Geek Brief TV and has produced over 500 podcasts/episodes discussing tech news and product reviews. Here is here interview:

Jonathan: “How old where you when you became interested in technology?”

Cali Lewis: “I was always fascinated by the gadgets that were around the house. I was the type of kid who wanted to take the blender apart, but too much of a goody-two-shoes to do it. The first real technology memory I have is when I was about eight or nine. I was standing in the doorway to my mom’s bedroom watching her type on her word processor. It wasn’t even a “real” computer, just a word processor, but I didn’t care. She was typing so fast and I was immediately intrigued. I made her teach me how to type and I used that thing every time I could. When I went to my dad’s house in the summer, he had a real PC AND Super Mario Brothers. I was in heaven!!”

Jonathan: : “When did you make your first appearance in online television?”

Cali Lewis: “Neal and I started GeekBrief.TV December 23, 2005. That was the first time I had ever gotten in front of a video camera. We knew we wanted to do podcasting full time, so we started the show with every intention of making that happen. Five months later, we were able to announce that we were quitting our day jobs.”

Jonathan: “Whom are your technology role models and influences?”

Cali Lewis: “Steve Wozniak, David Pogue and Adam Curry”

Jonathan: “What is the one tech gadget/item you couldn’t live without?”

Cali Lewis: “The iPhone is more than a phone. It’s one of the most succesful convergence devices, and I can’t go three minutes without doing SOMETHING on it, whether I’m home or out and about.”

Jonathan: “What is your favorite operating system and why?”

Cali Lewis: “I’m a Mac. I was a PC until my brother in law introduced me to Macs in June of 2005… No platform is perfect, but most things just work on a Mac.”

Jonathan: “What is your all time favorite Geek Brief TV moment or episode?”

Cali Lewis: “We put so much effort and time into each episode, it’s almost impossible to pick out a favorite child! The times I get to spend with viewers during meetups in each of the cities we travel to is one of my favorite things about doing GeekBrief.TV. I love putting a face to the names I see in comments, email and on Twitter.”

Jonathan: “What is the most geeky thing you have ever done?”

I built a robot while live on Ustream. It was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done!
